Cops: Houma Men Sold Drugs From Ice Cream Truck

wwl - The Lafourche Parish Sheriff's office says deputies arrested two men who were plying their drug trade from an ice cream truck in the community of Mathews. According to Sgt. Lesley Hill, a concerned citizen contacted police after seeing drugs being sold from the truck. Hill says after deputies located the truck on New Haven Street, deputies spoke with the driver, Johnathan Trahan (above, left) and his passenger, Hunter Pitre (above, right.)Investigators say as deputies gave the driver a pat-down, officers found three plastic bags with about 9 grams of suspected marijuana and a glass pipe in Trahan's pocket. Deputies say a K-9 officer did alert to illegal narcotics in the ice cream truck, but a subsequent search yielded no drugs. However, Hill says a pat-down of Pitre did result in finding a small amount of marijuana hidden in Pitre's sock. Officers booked Pitre and Trahan on drug charges. The press release from the Sheriff's Office did not indicate whether the pair were also selling ice cream from the truck.

So wait, was there ice cream in the truck or not? This little fact makes all the difference in the world. You see, if they're also selling ice cream then you've got a solid business model here. People smoke a little weed, then they get the munchies and you're right there to sell 'em a little snack while they're still high. Could probably even charge a little extra for the stuff - these people are wasted - they won't give a shit. Please, somebody tell me these young entrepreneurs were building the business correctly. Pay Attention!
