Celtics Lose To Heat In 5 Games
It sucks to lose. No doubt about it. But to tell the truth, with the health of the C's in this series and the devastating injury to Rondo it was almost expected. Time to look ahead and the biggest positive I'm takin' out of tonight's game was word out of the postgame press conference that it looks like Doc Rivers is coming back. This is huge. Doc is the best coach in the NBA in my opinion and I have faith in Danny Ainge and the owners that they'll immediately get to work on putting together the necessary pieces to contend for a title next year. There still might be a run or two left in this team. Let's get it done. Banner 18 awaits.

Celtics Heat Tonight - The Revenge Of Rondo

As Olivia Newton-John would say, "Let's get physical!" It's time to rip the heart out of the South Beach Pansies. This is clearly the game of the year for the Celts. Win and you're on your way - lose and things will be lookin' messy. Reach into their chests and see what you find. I say there's not much there.

Celtics - Knicks Game 2 Tonight
Time to get pumped up for the C's! They got a little lucky in Game 1 - New York pretty much gave the game away on their last possession (thanks, Melo). If Chauncey Billups is out, that gives Boston a distinct advantage at the point. But the Celts still need to protect their house and go to Madison Square Garden up 2 games. A nice short series in Round 1 will help the veterans.

Ray Allen's 3-Pointer Sends Celtics Over Knicks To Go Up 1-0

Should We Be Worried About The Celtics?
One of the reasons the Celtics lost to the Pacers last night was that they missed a shitload of free throws. As a public service, I'm posting the video of this Asian kid knockin' 'em down with both hands. I know Doc and Danny are huge fans of the Speakeasy, so find this guy immediately, get him to work with the team and then go win Banner 18. Bang. Done. Pay attention! (And you're welcome.)

Aubrey O'Day Naked Showing How Much She Loves The Boston Celtics
GOSSIPONTHIS - The former Danity Kane member, who famously posed for the cover of Playboy back in 2009, reps for her favorite basketball team the Boston Celtics as she (covered in green slime) poses nude in a risque photoshoot for Slam Magazine.
Now that's what I call Celtics Pride. Nice job Aubrey - see you at the Finals.

Here's Why Trading Kendrick Perkins Was A Great Move By Danny Ainge And The Celtics
Bahtendah Wisdom - Pay Attention!
Kendrick Perkins sucks. That's right, I just said what no one else in Boston is willing to say. Everyone is crying about how the Celtics will miss his size and rebounding come playoff time and I'm here to tell you they won't miss him at all. In fact, I like their chances to win Banner 18 better now than I did before the trade.
Yes, Perk has size. But that's it. He has some of the worst hands I've ever seen on a big man. He drops passes all the time and he gets stripped more often than a terrorist trying to get past the TSA. He also has the worst hops of any big man in the NBA besides perhaps Shaq, but Shaq is like 72 years old. I can't recall seeing a center get his shot blocked more often than Perkins. He's a terrible foul shooter and he racks up far too many T's. The real reason he looks good at times is because he plays with 4 All-Stars. I'd look good playing with 4 All-Stars. Perk himself has never been an All-Star and I don't think he ever will be
Nenad Krstic has far more skills than Perkins can ever hope to have. He's just as big as Perk and he's a far better shooter from the floor and the line. He's also a better passer and I think he'll get as many rebounds as Perkins, unless Doc has him spreading the floor to open up things for the likes of Pierce, Garnett and Rondo.
Think about it: We traded a guy who was drafted 27th overall (Perkins) for a guy drafted 5th overall (Green) and a guy drafted 24th overall (Krstic). That's right, Nenad Krstic was drafted higher than Perkins. Now, Nate Robinson was also part of the deal, but can anyone honestly say they're going to miss him? I don't think so. He's done nothing all year long and with Delonte West getting healthy, the Celts have a much better option to back up Rondo. Delonte is a far better player at the point than Nate, who's a 2-guard trapped in the body of a 1. Delonte plays defense, Nate doesn't.
The steal of this trade could be Green. He's young, athletic and averages 15 points a game in an offense that's dominated by Kevin Durant. I can't wait to see what kind of damage he can do on a team that loves to share the rock.
It's true that one of the reasons the Celtics lost in Game 7 to the Lakers last year is that Perkins was hurt. But he's now been replaced by Shaquille O'Neal, Jermaine O'Neal and Nenad Krstic. Throw in the additions of Jeff Green and Delonte West and I call that a serious upgrade. Relax Celtics Nation, we just got better. Bang. Pay attention!
PS - Remember Danny Ainge still has 3 open roster spots to fill. More upgrades on the way - I just pray Rasheed Wallace isn't one of them.

Celtics Trade Kendrick Perkins And Nate Robinson To Oklahoma City Thunder, Get Back Jeff Green and Nenad Krstic
Say goodbye to Kendrick Perkins and Nate Robinson. Say hello to Jeff Green and Nenad Krstic. Krstic is 7'0" and Green is 6'9". We difinitely picked up some offense here, but I'm not sure we haven't given up some defense and rebounding. And who is gonna be Donkey to Big Baby's Shrek now that Nate Robinson is gone?
UPDATE: Semih Erden and Luke Harangody have been traded to cleveland for a 2013 second round draft pick. More to come?

Could Anthony Parker Or Shane Battier Be The Next Boston Celtic Before Thursday's Trading Deadline?
These are the latest two players rumored to be headed to Boston before Thursday's trading deadline. They're fairly similar, both playing close to 30 minutes a night. Battier's a little bigger and a better rebounder. Parker's a couple of inches shorter at 6'6'' but is a better shooter. I'd take Battier. He makes more money, $7Million to Parker's $2Million, but the NBA is big boy basketball. Yes, Matilda, size does matter. The Celts lost to the Lakers last year because of a lack of size and I don't want to see that scenario repeated. The O'Neal boys are just injuries waiting to happen, so let's continue to beef up. Listen up, Mr. Ainge. Pay attention!

All Hail The King! Ray Allen Sets The All-Time NBA 3-Point Record
Has a classier dude ever held a record? Walter Ray Allen. Sugar Ray. Ray-Ray. You got it done, brah. And by the way, this is a mark that's gonna take a long time to break. To start with, Ray's still got a few years left. Secondly, he's been remarkably healthy throughout his 16-year career. Third, he's a flat-out freak. The dude starts shootin' about five hours before every game. Just jacks 'em up like Forrest Gump without his medication. He's got a serious case of shooter's OCD. I bet he washes his hands like a thousand times a day. I saw a video where Ray talked about running through the streets of Newton and Wellesley during the off-season for like 10 miles, then he goes home and cranks the treadmill to 10 and runs sprints until he's ready to puke. Freakazoid. Dedication. Discipline. Drive. Passion. And a heart the size of Secretariat's. Shine on, you crazy diamond. Bang. Pay attention!
P.S. - The Celts lost the game, but I really don't give a flyin' fuck. We put a MASH unit out there and ran with 'em pretty well. Gimme Shaq, D-West, a healthy Nate (who left the game in the first half), Marquis Daniels to defend Kobe for a stretch and I'll take this matchup all day, every day. Banner 18!!!
P.P.S. - Hey Ray, your Mom's a MILF!

Good Morning, Boston - Here Are Your Celtics 2011 NBA All-Stars
Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen and Rajon Rondo. What does it mean? Not much right now, but in the long run I think it means that nothing less than an NBA Championship is acceptable this year. Anything less than "Banner 18" will be a failure. The Celts have 17 titles and the Lakers have 16. The sole mission of this club has to be to deny another championship to the Lakers. Allowing LA to have co-bragging rights to the "Best All-time NBA Franchise" has to be avoided at all cost. There's a lot at stake here, boys. Buck up and get the job done. Bang. Pay attention!
And, oh, by the way, in late-breaking news, this dude will NOT be making the All-Star team this year:

How Scary Is This?
After the game, Doc Rivers seemed optimistic that it was a muscle injury. Doesn't look like a season-ender, but the "Drive for 18" could be in serious jeopardy. We'll have to wait and see....

Garnett Alley-Oop To Beat Sixers
Do we need any more proof that KG is just killin' it this year? The knee is finally healthy and this crazy/trash-talkin'/headbuttin'/foul-mouthed dude is back to where he was 2 years ago. The only thing that stopped us last year was effective size. Guess what, Elroy, we now have effective size. KG, Shaq, Semih holdin' down the post. Perk comin' back around the break. Be afraid Lakers, be very afraid!
